BCP Council (Bournemouth): Neil McKeon is pleased to have secured planning permission for front and rear extensions with loft conversion in Dulsie Road.
The scheme, (designed by Conceptual Homes) allowed for increased ground floor space through front and rear extensions, delivering an improved capacity for living room/kitchen space, whilst also creating an expanded first floor area which enhances the bedroom provision of the building.
Given the nature of this particular residential context, which has seen a plethora of householder extensions and remodels over the years, the LPA considered the extensions to be in keeping with the character and appearance of the area, as well as safeguarding against any harm to the privacy/amenity of neighbouring houses. As such, the LPA accepted the proposal on all grounds and determined the application without the need for any amendments and within the original 8 week timeframe.
