Portsmouth City Council: Neil McKeon is delighted to confirm securing full planning permission for 9 x 3 bedroom residential houses on Sixth Avenue, Cosham. The proposal is facilitated by the demolition of the existing F2 use class building, allowing for a comprehensive contemporary housing development to take full advantage of this expansive site in a predominantly residential area.

The housing (designed by David James Architects & Partners Ltd) is split across three floors with six units fronting Herne Road and three fronting Sixth Avenue. The approved layout creates ample garden spaces to all units with rear of site secure parking to serve future occupants.

Following on-going consultation between Neil and the respective Council Officers, all aspects of the proposal in terms of urban design, amenity, highways, landscaping, ecology and waste were fully resolved to the LPA’s satisfaction. As such, the LPA supported the proposal to redevelop the site for additional housing in an area with established access links to the town centre – which was extremely welcomed news to the client to start off 2024.
