BCP Council (Poole): Matt Annen is pleased to have recently secured planning permission for a new 10,500sqft “superhome” with 4 huge en-suite bedrooms and an integrated annex, multiple reception rooms with double height atriums, indoor pool, music room, games room, gym and quadruple car garage within the Branksome Park Conservation Area. This dream home with its striking innovative architecture has been bespokely designed by Marlow Architects and construction is due to start imminently.

Despite there being only one neighbour objection and the design not needing any changes to meet with the LPA’s approval, incredibly frustratingly the whole process took almost 7 months – nearly 4 times as long as it should have taken. This unfortunately is not an isolated case, we are seeing similar astonishing delays with BCP Council on many applications, with poor levels of communication and slow progress across the board and it’s saddening to see that the service seems to be getting worse not better!

Nevertheless, if you are thinking of embarking on a project to building your ‘forever’ house whether that be via a remodel or full replacement, we’d be happy to assist you navigate the planning process.
