Dorset Council: Neil McKeon is delighted to have secured planning permission for a detached 3-bedroom house off Churchill Close in Sturminster Marshall, Wimborne.  

Pure Town Planning submitted the application, designed by ARC Architecture for Harlequin Homes, for land severance and erection of a family dwelling to the rear of Churchill Close. Regulars of our webposts will note that this new house is directly south of a four house development which Neil won at appeal in September 2021. The approval secures the fifth house in the row of backland development, with the other four now nearing completion.

Through on-going consultation with the Council Officers, Pure Town Plannign were able to agree the necessary minor alterations to the proposed dwelling, as well as access arrangements and boundary treatment to secure the support of the Officer in all regards. As such, the new house would seamlessly utilise the previously allowed access drive to its neighbouring four houses off Churchill Close. Despite an objection from the Parish Council, the application was approved under delegated powers – thereby completing this rear of site development of 5 units in total.
