South Downs National Park Authority (Winchester City Council area): Dan Wilden is pleased to have secured planning permission for a series of works at a house in a conservation area near Itchen Abbas, Winchester in the South Downs National Park. The approved development designed by King Architecture and Design included the demolition of an existing garage and replacement with a larger outbuilding, removal of conservatory and replacement with an orangery and a series of minor works to improve the appearance and usability of the house. The proposal also included a series of photovoltaic solar panels both on the house and the new outbuilding.
With a well thought out and carefully presented scheme the proposal went through smoothly with support from the conservation officer, approved just a couple of weeks beyond the target date in time for an early Christmas present – as quickly as can be expected in the current climate.
