BCP Council (Bournemouth): Neil McKeon has recently secured planning permission for the change of use of the existing office space to retail unit and conversion and extension of 1st and 2nd floors to create two flats with roof terrace amenity area in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth.

The proposal sees a new retail unit to Christchurch Road with a redesigned shopfront to ensure this in keeping with the character and appearance of the surrounding built form. The rear elevation flat roof extensions have been designed to deliver a generous living space to the two new flats along with a spacious roof terrace. The plans, prepared by Harriplan, ensure against the proposed conversion and extensions creating any harmful impact upon the privacy and amenity of neighbouring residential units on Christchurch Road.

Following thorough consultations between Pure Town Planning, the architect and both the Planning and Urban Design Officers, the proposal was finally agreed which will revitalise the ground floor shopfront, as well as creating new residential accommodation in this sustainable location.
