BCP Council (Bournemouth): Phoebe Milner is delighted to have secured planning permission for alterations and extension at roof level to create a penthouse flat in Southbourne.

Previously the scheme had been dismissed at appeal only due to the lack of parking provision. However, following the new Parking SPD from BCP Council adopted in January 2021, the proposed new flat no longer required any parking.  

Therefore the planning officer concluded that this scheme would:

–       Not harm the character or appearance of the area;

–       The amenity of neighbouring or proposed occupiers would not be harmed;

–       The impact on traffic safety and convenience would be acceptable;

–       It meets the the parking standards for this zone set out in the Parking SPD.
