Lilliput planning appeal won planning permissionBorough of Poole: Pure Town Planning are pleased to report another planning appeal win this time in the Lilliput area of the Borough of Poole. The proposal was to knock down one corner dwelling and build two slimmer houses side by side. The Council turned the proposal down on grounds it would appear cramped and hence would be harmful to the character and appearance of the area.

Pure Town Planning were instructed to appeal the decision. We were able to persuade the Inspector to reach the following conclusion:

I consider that the proposed development would be of a suitable domestic scale, would not run contrary to the low/medium density of development within the area and would not be inconsistent with the underlying urban grain. The scheme would not harm the character and appearance of the area.

As such she granted full planning permission for the proposal. Naturally our client was thrilled.

If you have received a recent planning refusal, why not ask Pure Town Planning for our opinion of your chances of getting planning consent on appeal?
