pure-town-planning-5-years-party_73Firstly to all of our clients, architect friends and professional consultants who referred business our way last year we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support.

Pure Town Planning has continued to thrive despite growing competition. We put our success down to commitment to working hard to make sure that our team repeatedly offers a high standard of service, planning knowledge and expertise on all projects that we are involved with.

Ultimately the success of a planning consultancy is judged on the number of planning consents achieved. In 2016 PTP submitted 205 applications and appeals and of those 144 were approved and 61 refused. Equating to a success rate of just over 70%. When you consider the majority of work we take on is towards the more contentious end of the spectrum, we are very proud of this achievement. Nevertheless there is room for improvement, so in 2017 we are setting the bar higher and have set a target to achieve over 75% success rate on all applications and appeals submitted.

2016 was an eventful year in planning  with the 10-unit affordable housing Government threshold coming back in (see here), further flexibility introduced to Permitted Development/Prior Approval particularly with regard to permitted change of uses and CIL being rolled out in a growing number of local authorities. It’s fair to say the world of planning is ever evolving and now more than ever, the benefit of having a planning consultant fighting your corner and giving your scheme that “edge” is immeasurable.

It’s the start of a New Year and a time when many people make resolutions/goals/targets for the coming year, or get around to doing something that you’ve been meaning to sort our for a while. With that in mind, if you feel your house, your garden or your commercial premises could have development potential then contact us for a Free, Confidential Planning Appraisal.

The Pure Town Planning team look forward to assisting you during 2017. Very best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year.
