Race for LiveAt Pure Town Planning our ethos and values are about more than just business and we are always keen to give back to the local community we work in by supporting local causes and charities with donations and professional advice.

Chris‘s partner Adele recently participated in the Bristol Race for Life. The annual event which is organised by Cancer Research UK covers a distance of 5K and is open to woman and children of all ages and abilities, with over 4500 people taking part this year.

Adele entered the race as part of a team called ‘Simons Girls’ who were fundraising in memory of Simon Browning who passed away last November from cancer and was a close family friend of Chris and Adele. The team were also running to support Chris’s dad who was undergoing chemotherapy for the third time at the time of registering. Sadly two weeks before the race Chris’s dad lost his battle against cancer, which made Adele even more determined to take part and raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Upon hearing about Adele’s charity efforts the PTP team pitched in and sponsored her £120.00. Adele and the rest of Simons Girls all successfully completed the race for life last Sunday and at present they have raised over £3000 for Cancer Research UK, which we think is amazing! Well done girls!

Donations can still be made to the team until the of August 2015 at: www.justgiving.com/adelehiggs
