Christchurch Borough Council and East Dorset District Council: This troublesome pair are at it again. Not content with adopting their joint Core Strategy at the end of last month, the partnership which we will now refer to as CHED has published a Draft Community Infrastructure Levy Charging Schedule.
In our now customary cut-to-the-chase approach the proposed charges are:
Residential £100 per sqm
Care homes £40 per sqm
“Convenience retail” £100 per sqm
Everything else: absolutely nothing
All fairly run-of-the-mill stuff these days. CHED are consulting on this until 18 June although I am not sure anyone has ever responded to a CIL consultation. Have you? Did it make a difference? Let us know.

Come on Bournemouth Borough Council! You don’t want us to accuse you of being slow now do you?!
