BCP Council (Bournemouth):  Darryl Howells, a director of Pure Town Planning has secured planning permission for the erection of a two storey rear extension and remodelling of a house in Southbourne, Dorset

The plans were drawn by David James Architects & Partners and sought to enlarge the habitable accommodation for the occupiers by providing large open-plan family spaces on the ground floor, bedrooms at first floor and a 5th bedroom within the loft space.  The application was submitted with a robust planning statement prepared by Darryl, explaining how the design changes accorded with adopted planning policies and the Council’s supplementary design code requirements for householder extensions.  The planning officer wholly agreed with Darryl’s favourable commentary and the scheme was approved under delegated powers soon after the end of the statutory 21 day consultation period.
