Dorset Council: Matt Annen has successfully secured planning permission to sever land and erect 2 detached bungalows, with formation of new access drive and car parking areas for the existing and proposed development. The scheme was designed by Brian Nicholls Architects Ltd for a mutual developer client. The site is located within the Colehill urban area as designated in the Christchurch and East Dorset Core Strategy (CS). Therefore, there was no objection to the principle of the proposed development subject to all other matters being acceptable and compliance with other CS policies.

The application was a revised submission following a previous refusal and this amended scheme addressed the reasons for refusal relating to overlooking, amenity of future occupiers, and overbearing impact. As confirmed in the case officer’s report when putting forward his favourable reccomendation; “I am satisfied that the previous reasons for refusal have been addressed and overcome and that there are no outstanding materially unacceptable impacts. The proposal therefore accords with the adopted development plan and is acceptable in principle”.
