Bournemouth Borough Council: Pure Town Planning are thrilled to announce that we have recently secured planning permission for the erection of three dwellings on land at Shelbourne Road in Bournemouth.
Prior to the favourable decision, the site was the subject of many applications and had a negative planning history with similar application for 4 units being refused by Bournemouth Borough Council due to concerns relating to overdevelopment.
Following the previous refusal we negotiated with the case officer to agree a mutually agreeable scheme and working in collaboration with Oates Construction, we prepared, submitted and managed a comprehensive planning application for the a revised development, which delivers 3 x terraced units (2 x 2 bed and 1 x 3 bed) with associated access and parking.
As part of the application, we prepared a thorough supporting design, access and planning statement which set out the merits of the proposal in a clear and concise manner, whilst making it clear that the development was in accordance within adopted planning policies that promotes sustainable residential development.
To ensure compliance with local and national planning policy and to satisfy concerns expressed by the case officer due to the sites close proximity to the Wessex Way, as part of our comprehensive service we engaged other professional consultants throughout the planning process on behalf of our client and submitted supporting statements relating to noise attenuation and contaminated land.
Upon considering the application and supporting documents, the Council agreed with our conclusions and moved to grant planning permission for the development with no affordable housing obligation. The client was delighted with the decision and is now preparing for the development of the site.
