BCP Council (formerly Borough of Poole): Darryl Howells has secured planning permission to erect 3 detached contemporary houses with garages on a site in Lilliput, Poole. The client engaged the architectural services of Keith Gould of Asplan Associates to prepare the planning drawings, but it was Pure Town Planning whom were instructed to prepare the application, submit, negotiate and secure the positive outcome.

The site had been the subject of several planning applications in the past 10 years, so Darryl was not arguing the principle, but the issues that Darryl was trying to resolve were the minor changes to the fenestration, impact of new windows to neighbouring amenities and a particular concern of the siting of a garage within close proximity of a tree covered by a Tree Preservation Order.

Using Darryl’s persuasive abilities, the planning officer supported the scheme subject to amended plans that Darryl was able to negotiate and submit drawing the course of the planning application.  The decision was granted using the officer’s delegated powers and to say the client was pleased with the outcome is an understatement.

If you have a site and would like to discuss maximising its potential once proposing a scheme that has a realistic chance of securing planning permission, then speak to a planning consultant at Pure Town Planning.
