Eastleigh Borough Council: Dan Wilden is pleased to have secured planning permission for a replacement house at a site which lies on the edge of Southampton near to Hedge End but in the Eastleigh Borough.

The existing former farmhouse is rather dilapidated having been vacant for some time and the target of vandalism. The proposed house, designed by Watts Holt, is intended to provide a new home for our client ideally situated alongside their caravan sales and servicing site which Pure Town Planning also recently obtained planning consent for on appeal (see here).

Whilst in this case the new house lies outside the designated settlement boundaries in the “open countryside”, the principle of replacing the house “one-for-one” is generally acceptable. Replacing an existing house is often a means by which clients can built a dream home in a countryside setting where a new house wouldn’t usually be permitted. If you have seen a tired property in a great location why not get in touch with Pure Town Planning to find out whether this could be the site of your future home?
