BCP Council (Christchurch area): Jess Glover is pleased to inform that she has secured planning permission for the erection of a replacement dwelling with associated access and parking on Wickfield Avenue in Christchurch.

The scheme, designed by Asplan, sought to demolish the existing dwelling erect a replacement dwelling on the site to create a 3 bedroom chalet bungalow. The application followed approval of householder planning permission in December 2020 on the site for the single and two storey rear and side extensions, roof extension and front and rear dormer windows.

In our supporting Design, Access and Planning Statement we justified that the proposed development would result in an almost identical quantum of development to the recently approved householder scheme on the site which represents a material fallback position and therefore its impact in terms of the character and appearance of the area and neighbouring amenity has already been deemed acceptable by the Local Planning Authority.

The Case Officer agreed that the proposal would be in keeping with the character and appearance of the area recommending the application for approval under delegated powers.
