Borough of Poole: Pure Town Planning have quite literally ‘raised the roof’ for one of our householder clients this week. The homeowners had struggled previously to achieve consent for extensions and alterations to their family home and so approached Pure Town Planning for help. The extensions sought to improve and extend the ground floor living accommodation into a contemporary open plan area and raise the ridge to allow for an increased floor space with better headroom on the first floor. Essentially the scheme turned the existing 2 bedroom bungalow into a 4 bedroom house.

From the outset we provided guidance to the architect, advising on the necessary alterations which had to be made to overcome the previous reasons for refusal. Together with the well thought out plans we prepared a robust supporting planning statement, detailing the changes that had been made  from the previous scheme and why we considered the scheme was acceptable in all regards. During the progress of the application, our director Matt liaised regularly with the planning officer, responding quickly to queries raised, such that the planning officer was happy with the scheme and minded to approve. Due to the level of local opposition and the fact that the Ward Councillor had “red carded” the application it meant the fate of the application lay with the Borough of Poole Planning Committee…. The scheme was approved by 7 votes to 2 last Thursday. Our client was delighted:

“I just wanted to write a brief note to say how we were so impressed with how you and your company handled our planning application all the way through the whole process which ended up with a positive result at the end. Everything was dealt with extremely professionally and efficiently. Someone was always at the end of the phone or email with a quick response. I would highly recommend Pure Town Planning to anyone who may need assistance with any form of planning application. Many thanks to you and all your team.”
