
BCP Council (Poole): Matt is delighted to have recently secured planning consent for what is often referred to as a Section 73 or Material Minor Amendment consent for a redesigned 7000 sq ft super home in Branksome Park. A Section 73 takes the form of a variation of condition application enabling a complete re-design of an already approved replacement dwelling.
This revised scheme which was beautifully designed by Marlow Architects. It changed the dwelling’s position, footprint, internal layout, external materials and window arrangement, basically it was a completely different house,while retaining the principle of a substantial new contemporary home on the site. Set within the prestigious Branksome Park Conservation Area, the approved design delivers a striking one-off home of real presence and quality. The officer’s report confirms that the revised proposal will continue to preserve the character and appearance of the conservation area.
