Dorset Council: Jess Glover is delighted to announce that she has recently secured outline planning permission for a plot split and erection of a new dwelling on Ridgeway in Corfe Mullen.

The site is situated at the end of the cul-de-sac and therefore has an uncharacteristically large plot size. It was proposed to demolish the existing garage, split the plot and erect a new detached dwelling on the site with associated access and parking. As this application was outline, it considered the principle of development only. No objections were received from Natural England, the Council’s Tree Officer or Highways Officer. According to the Case Officer’s report, it was considered that the site could comfortably accommodate a new dwelling without harm to the character and appearance of the area or neighbouring amenity and therefore the scheme was approved.

As part of the application, we prepared a thorough supporting Design, Access and Planning Statement which set out the merits of the proposal in a clear and concise manner, whilst making it clear that the development was in accordance within adopted planning policies that promotes sustainable residential development. Upon considering the application and supporting documents, Officers agreed with our conclusions and moved to recommend approval.
