BCP Council (Bournemouth): Dan Wilden is pleased to have secured planning permission for conversion of a house into an 8-person House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) at Charminster Avenue, Bournemouth.
Our client approached Pure Town Planning following refusal of a proposal to convert the existing house into three flats – wondering about the merits of a planning appeal. We advised that flats might be difficult to achieve at this property due to parking requirements however we felt that a larger HMO might be achievable here given the lack of HMOs in the immediate area.
We carefully advised on preparing the application and with a well presented application we soon secured the officer recommendation to approve. However there had been a significant number of objections from nearby residents and therefore the application had to go to planning committee. Matt Annen presented a deputation on behalf of the client and the planning committee agreed that there was no reason to object to the proposal.
If you have had planning permission refused, why not speak to Pure Town Planning to find out if we would advise an appeal or perhaps an alternative option entirely.
