Fareham Borough Council: Dan Wilden is delighted to have secured planning permission for a fantastic seafront property at Hill Head, Stubbington near Fareham. The vast contemporary home has been beautifully designed by Marlow Architects and features two floors plus a large basement with parking in total extending to over 12,000 square feet. These CGIs are by Carl Williams.
On this site we had a lot of planning issues to contend with, including typical issues of ecology and trees. Unusually we faced concerns from the nearby Solent Airport as the site lies close to the end of the main runway and the building would be taller than the existing bungalow – fortunately an Obstacle Safeguarding Report found that it would not represent a problem. Part-way through the process we had to reduce the site area which required re-consultation, but we were pleased that this did not result in our client having to scale back the ambitious plans for the house.
A number of local objections resulted in the planning application having to go to the planning committee where the committee unanimously voted to approve the scheme.
Our client is keen to get started and this is one house where we are very much looking forward to seeing the end result!
