Three Rivers District Council: Pure Town Planning have just secured planning permission for a number of single and two storey extensions as well as a new detached garage to a property in a conservation area in Croxley Green, Rickmansworth.

The scheme was a bespoke design by Tony Holt Design, who developed a scheme which significantly increased the floorspace to the existing dwelling whilst maintaining the traditional form and character of the dwelling in order not to cause any harm to the character or appearance of the conservation area. Despite the planning officer’s initial concerns over the depth of the rear two storey extensions, Pure Town Planning were able to successfully negotiate an approval with the appointed planning officer officer from Three Rivers District Council.

Just another good example of the “don’t move…  improve” approach to development which in this current economic climate is all the rage. If you are finding that your existing home is too small to meet the needs of your family,  rather than moving to a bigger house, this total remodel approach could be a viable option for you. Why not give us a call and take advantage of our FREE half hour consultation to find out if this strategy could work for you.
