Dorset Council (former East Dorset District Council): Neil McKeon of Pure Town Planning is pleased to have secured outline planning permission for the demolition of a barn and outbuilding and erection of four semi-detached dwellings in Three Legged Cross, Wimborne. Studio MODA Architects provided the plans as part of the application.

The application site is located to the rear of a residential property on West Moors Road and creates an opportunity for infill development of 4 x 2 bed dwellings. Throughout the course of the application process, Pure Town Planning engaged with Officers to ensure the proposal respected the pattern of development and the character and appearance of the area – with particular emphasis on the visual impact from the West Moors Road streetscene.

A key aspect of the proposal was also taking into consideration the extant residential approval for nine dwellings at Casa Velha on land to the east of the application site, in respect of safeguarding respective privacy and amenity for all dwellings. The resulting scheme secured Officers’ full support – delivering a high quality development, providing much needed housing stock on this under-utilised site.
