New Forest National Park Authority: Darryl Howells, a director of the firm has received planning permission for the erection of a detached dwelling and detached car port on a property in the New Forest National Park. The plans were drawn by Bradley Cheer of ARC Architecture Limited, however due to the policy constraints of building housing in the National Park, the client instructed Darryl to prepare the application documents including a robust policy statement, submit the application and handle the negotiations.

As usual, the planning application was the subject of public consultation however in this instance this lead to the support from neighbours and the Parish Council. Negotiations did take place between Darryl and the planning officerl, as the scheme was to be positioned adjacent to a conservation area and minor alterations to the dwelling’s façade were required.  The amended plans were received by the planning officer and the scheme subsequently approved 48 hours after receipt.
