BCP Council (Bournemouth):  Full planning permission has been secured by Matt Annen, a director of Pure Town Planning for a new three/four bedroom detached one and a half storey chalet style dwelling with detached garage. The scheme was designed by Oates Construction.

The application followed a number of previous schemes for the erection of 2 dwellings on the plot which was refused and also for the formation of a single dwelling on the plot which was withdrawn. Pure Town Planning put forward a robust planning case demonstrating the acceptability of the scheme. In arriving at his favourable recommendation the planning officer concluded:

“Following the refusal of a recent application for two units on this plot, the current proposals, as amended, aim to overcome the previous issues. The single dwelling is considered to sit comfortably within the plot with good spacing to all boundaries. Of particular importance is the spacing of 15m between the north facing flank of the proposed dwelling and the front elevation of No.61 Heaton Road which faces the site. This is a notable improvement over the previous scheme. The street scene demonstrates the dwelling would sit comfortably between the taller dwellings to the south and the low scale bungalow to the north”.
