BCP Council (Poole): Matt Annen, director of Pure Town Planning is delighted to have secured planning permission for conversion of an existing dwelling into two dwellings in Canford Heath for local developer client; Real Building Contractors with supporting plans prepared by Now Architecture.

Pure Town Planning prepared a supporting statement and packaged up and submitted the application within a short time frame. We successfully argued that the existing plot was notably wider than those within the vicinity and its subdivision resulted in two plots with widths similar to those forming this row of dwellings. The built form was already present and the extended part had been used as a self-contained annexe. As such, there were no physical alterations required externally. Overall, the subdivision of the existing building into two dwellings was considered to preserve the residential character and appearance of the area. The planning permission was granted in line with statutory 8 week target date – which is almost unheard of currently with the state the BCP planning department is in.
