BCP Council: Matt Annen is pleased to announce that a couple of weeks back he secured the first consent for the firm under the newly formed BCP Council (replacing the separate Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch Borough Councils). The approval is for the conversion of a current 7 bedroom HMO into 6 self-contained flats with the plans prepared by Harriplan.

As part of the application, Matt prepared a thorough supporting design, access, and planning statement that set out the merits of the proposal in a clear and concise manner, whilst making it clear that the development was in accordance within adopted planning policies that support sustainable residential development.

The planning officer shared Matt’s view and confirmed: “Having regard to the pattern of existing development in the area and relevant provisions of the Development Plan it is considered that the development would be in accordance with the Development Plan, including the NPPF, would not materially harm the character or appearance of the area and would not have an adverse impact on residential amenity”. The application was subsequently approved.
