Bournemouth Borough Council: Pure Town Planning have recently secured approval to convert a former Language School into 14 self-contained flats with the plans supplied by Anders Roberts Cheer.

As part of the application, we prepared a thorough supporting Design, Access, Planning and Heritage statement that set out the merits of the proposal in a clear and concise manner. As part of the statement, we showed that the loss of the language school would not be harmful to the employment or tourism function of the town.

To facilitate the development, alterations and extensions to the roof were proposed and Pure Town Planning had to work through minor changes with the Bournemouth Borough Council Planning Officer to reduce the perceived bulk and mass from the roof alterations.

Once these changes were addressed, the Case Officer considered that he could now support the application and recommend the application for approval two weeks before the target date.

The client was naturally delighted with the outcome, stating “Big thank you for all the hard work on this project, not the easiest. You and your team are so efficient and professional, from the initial advise stage all the way through to the end. Can’t thank you enough.”
