Wirral Borough Council: Now just because Pure Town Planning are based in Dorset and Hampshire on the south coast this does not mean that we only deal with projects in this area. In fact our latest planning approval is a classic example of this. The site was over 300 miles away from our Bournemouth office on the Wirral, near Liverpool.
Despite the language barrier Pure Town Planning secured a brilliant planning permission for an extensive renovation to take a bland 1960’s bungalow and transform into a large contemporary 2-storey dwelling. However we can’t take all the credit, this bespoke scheme was innovatively designed by Tony Holt Design who made our lives easier by preparing a well considered scheme. The design which although significantly larger than the existing building on the site, took into consideration the character of the area and also was designed so as not to present any opportunities for overlooking into neighbouring properties. Because of this, Pure Town Planning were able to successfully work with Wirral Borough Council in a positive and proactive manner demonstrating that the proposed scheme was in accordance with the criteria set out in Policy HS.11 of Wirral’s Unitary Development Plan and the adopted Supplementary Planning Guidelines: House Extensions.
This is another good example of the “don’t move… improve” approach to development, which in this current economic climate is becoming ever more popular.
