BCP Council (Bournemouth area): Neil McKeon has recently secured planning permission for the change of use of an A2 unit on Wimborne Road to a tattoo studio (Sui Generis) and ancillary retail use.

The applicant instructed Pure Town Planning to prepare, submit and manage a change of use application which relocates the existing business to a former A2 use commercial unit in Moordown District Centre.

The tattoo studio includes a retail element to the business, where the applicant will also be displaying and selling artwork on site. As the shop front is retained, the character of the Wimborne Road – primarily retail shops and commercial units – will be unaffected. The Council were satisfied that the proposed mixed use unit will contribute positively to the vitality and viability of this secondary shopping area.
