Dorset Council (former East Dorset District): Dan Wilden is pleased to have secured planning permission for the change of use of the ground floor of a detached house to form a church meeting room in Ashley Heath near Ringwood. The first floor of the house will remain in residential use as a flat.
The site lies on the main road through the village and concerns were raised locally about possible impact on highway safety. Fortunately we had pursued pre-application discussions with the Highway Authority as well as the planners. The Highway Authority offered advice on improving the access and parking requirements and, subject to a planning condition limiting the use of the meeting hall to the church group themselves, were happy to support the application.
We were particularly pleased to get this one approved as we know the church have been looking for a suitable location for some time and we have advised them on numerous potential properties.
If you have a potentially difficult planning proposal, why not contact Pure Town Planning for our initial view on whether it might be possible?
