BCP Council (Poole):  Darryl Howells has secured full planning permission for the erection of a block of 6 flats in a site in Broadstone.  The plans drawn by DOT Architecture followed the outline approval of a block of flats, previously secured by Darryl.  The full application provided a different building in a different position on the site.

Following the submission of the application, several letters of representation were received to the planning officer, objecting to the scheme.  That said, Darryl engaged the planning officer positively and secured a recommendation to approve quickly.  During the course of the  application, it was ‘red carded’ to go to Planning Committee by a local ward Member.  Darryl presented a robust planning case for the scheme, arguing there was policy support for the scheme, the design had addressed the relationship to neighbouring amenities and that highway concerns were unnecessary.  The application was voted to be approved unanimously.
