Dorset Council: Jess Glover is delighted to announce that she has recently secured planning permission for the demolition of the existing conservatory and erection of a replacement rear and side extension to provide an enlarged dining room, new toilets and a serving hatch at The Sandford Public House, Sandford, Purbeck.

The business approached Pure Town Planning with the intention to enlarge the internal dining area to increase capacity whilst also considering social distancing between tables for customer satisfaction. The pub also saw this as an opportunity to modernise and enlarge the existing toilet facilities and also create a serving hatch to serve directly into the pub garden at the rear, for customers who are still wary about being indoors due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

As part of the application, we prepared a thorough supporting design, access and planning statement which set out the merits of the proposal in a clear and concise manner, whilst making it clear that the development was in accordance within adopted planning policies that promotes sustainable residential development.

Upon considering the application and supporting documents, Officers agreed with our conclusions and moved to recommend approval.
