Dorset Council (West Dorset area): Jess Glover is pleased to announce that she has recently secured planning permission for alterations and extensions to an existing dwelling within the Cerne Abbas Conservation Area. This approval allows the homeowner to build a replacement enlarged rear extension on the ground floor and extend the existing dormer window to increase the amount of floorspace in the roof. The plans were produced by DOT Architecture.
The scheme was called in by the Cerne Abbas Parish Council, and Jess attended their virtual planning committee to represent the applicant and answer any queries members or neighbours may have had. After some debate, the parish council members voted in support of the application.
During the course of the application, the Case Officer raised concerns about the length of the dormer and fenestration arrangement, so working with architect we amended the plans which subsequently addressed the officer’s concerns and the application was approved shortly after.
If you have a house and are looking to undertake extensions and alterations why don’t you get into contact with Pure Town Planning on 01202 585524 or email email@example.com for a free and confidential appraisal.
