BCP Council (Bournemouth area): Matt has recently secured planning permission for alterations, ground floor extensions and formation of new second floor level with roof garden and an art deco style remodel of the existing dwelling, formation of swimming pool, altered garage and new parking spaces off Sandbourne Road. The scheme was designed by Marlow Architects.
Pure Town Planning prepared a supporting Design, Access and Planning Statement and liaised with the appointed Planning Officer throughout the process to ensure the proposed alterations were deemed acceptable at the first time of asking with no significant changes required to receive the support of the appointed planning officer. Following the consultation, the Planning Officer concluded:
• The proposal would preserve the character and appearance of the street scene.
• Neighbouring amenities and privacy would be preserved subject to condition.
• The proposal would have no adverse impact on protected habitat and species subject to condition.
• The proposal would not have an adverse impact on parking with sufficient on-site parking retained to meet the needs of the enlarged dwelling subject to condition.
• The proposal would not have an adverse effect on protected trees subject to conditions.
• The proposal is exempt from Biodiversity Net Gain.
