BCP Council (Poole): Pure Town Planning are pleased to announce that we have secured for a client, full planning permission to erect an additional storey to an existing block of flats in Panorama Road, Sandbanks to create a new self-contained flat with roof top sun room and large terrace. The plans were prepared by John Christopher of Trinity Architecture, their offices based in Poole.

The application followed the receipt of a negative pre-application response which the architect secured from the planning officer prior to Pure Town Planning’s involvement. Using our wealth of planning experience, we were able to produce a robust planning statement that demonstrated that the prevailing pattern of development included 4 storey buildings, that dominance of taller buildings was actually part of the evolving character and that the proposed development would not harm the amenities of neighbouring occupiers. These three issues formed the basis of the pre-application response objecting to the scheme.

The planning officer accepted all of our arguments and evidence, giving planning permission using her delegated powers quickly after the conclusion of the public consultation period. The client is impressed with Pure Town Planning’s professional approach and positive outcome.

If you have received negative pre-application advice from a planning authority, then allow one of our consultants to review that advice, and offer a professional opinion that could overcome those concerns, leading to a more successful outcome.
