St Catherines Southbourne planning consultants BournemouthBournemouth Borough Council: Pure Town Planning have once again succeeded where others have failed. We are delighted to announce that we have recently secured planning permission for the demolition of an existing property and the erection of a four-storey block of 4 apartments near Southbourne cliff top in Bournemouth.

When our client approached us with the site, we knew achieving consent was not going to be straightforward – the fairly negative planning history consisted of two previously refused applications and a dismissed appeal all for flatted schemes on the site. Initially the appointed planning officer at Bournemouth Borough Council had reservations over the submitted scheme but during the planning process Matt was in constant contact with the case officer arguing that a mutually agreeable development could be achieved at the site. Following weeks of negotiation and a number of meetings, the amended plans for this architecturally interesting scheme, which was designed by Simon Dilawershah from Aspire Architects, were submitted which overcame the Council’s initial concerns. The case officer agreed confirming that the “revised scale, bulk, form and design of the development would be acceptable and would be in keeping with the existing character of development in this area” and the application was subsequently approved following re-consultation with local residents and other relevant stakeholders.

As is evident from this process, here at Pure Town Planning we work tirelessly from start to finish to make it happen for our clients. If you are working on a residential development and are looking for a firm to steer your development through the planning process, then why not give us a call or send us an email to info@puretownplanning.co.uk.
