BCP Council (Poole): Matt Annen, director of Pure Town Planning is delighted to have secured Reserved Matters planning permission as well as a Material Minor Amendment (S73) for to remove reference to unallocated parking (to enable parking spaces to be allocated to each flat) and make changes to the basement parking, site layout, raise main part of the building (to improve outlook for lower ground floor flats) and update elevational treatment and material palette.

This scheme of amendments was designed by local architects; Anders Roberts Cheer Architects for mutual client Blue Bay Properties.

The officer concluded: “The key relationships to adjoining buildings on Marlborough Road (remains the same at 2 storeys) and Bournemouth Road (increased height with a greater separation distance from the site boundary) would represent an improvement to the building design and impact on the street scene and neighbouring residents providing a more elegant and structured building. The proposed change is supported. There is no objection to the change in materials in terms of architectural appearance neither to the addition of the necessary fire escape”.
