View of the appeal site – doesn’t look particularly promising as a development site…

East Dorset District Council: Pure Town Planning celebrate as they win another appeal for a client – this time against East Dorset District Council.

The proposal was for a plot subdivision and a new dwelling in one of East Dorset’s “Special Character Areas”. The plot is relatively small, surrounded by large pine trees and along a narrow unmade track – the Council objected in principle to any development there as did many of the local residents. But Pure Town Planning were able to persuade the Inspector Pete Drew otherwise as he concluded:

“On the main issue I conclude that the proposed development would preserve the character and appearance of the area. As such I find no conflict with LP Policies HODEV1, DES8 and BUCON6, the SPG, or advice in the NPPF.”

Our client now has full planning permission and benefits from a considerable increase in value to his property.
