Dan is a founding Director having started Pure Town Planning with Matt in 2011.
Dan originally trained in Product Design obtaining a first class BSc (Hons) at Bournemouth University and spent some time designing domestic goods for the likes of Hotpoint and Dyson. A spell editing maps for the Ordnance Survey in Southampton persuaded him to seek a different path. Dan retrained as a Town Planner at the University of Reading where in 2006 he obtained a Master of Science degree with Distinction and was awarded a prize from the Royal Town Planning Institute for his academic work.
Dan has over 20 years experience working in planning consultancy on the south-coast including working for one of the largest national planning consultancies and a couple of years for one of the country’s leading retirement housing developers.
Dan enjoys working on a variety of different planning projects large and small. He is known for his knowledge of the technical side of planning and planning law.
