East Dorset District Council: Pure Town Planning have recently secured planning permission to convert a disused outbuilding into to ancillary accommodation associated to the host dwelling, adding 6 roof lights and replacing the outbuilding’s lean-to extension with a flat roof single storey extension. The plans accompanying the application were designed and drawn by Harriplan.

The clients came to us wanting to better utilise the existing outbuilding at their home in Verwood. The building was used as additional storage to the dwellinghouse but required building works. The proposal provided a small home study, a games room and a small storage area within the roof.

With the plans ready, Pure Town Planning prepared a supporting Design, Access and Planning Statement setting out the merits of the scheme and how the proposed works would have no observable impact upon neighbouring properties and no harm to the streetscene.

With the application submitted, the Case Officer agreed with the supporting Statement and approved the application without requiring any changes to the planning drawings.
