Bournemouth Borough Council:  Darryl Howells of Pure Town Planning is pleased to win an appeal against the refusal of a householder’s application to erect a 2 storey front, side, and rear extension, raise ridge height, erect new porch and front extension to existing garage, at a house in Alyth Road, Bournemouth.  The scheme was originally designed by local architects Design & Development Associates Limited.

Bournemouth Borough Council had refused the proposal on grounds of harm to the character and appearance of the area.  In allowing the appeal, Pure Town Planning successfully argued that the proposed development would be absorbed by the existing street scene and whilst coming closer to the roadside than the established building line, the development would positively contribute to the appearance of the street, would not be overly dominant and would retain sufficient separation to immediate neighbours.

If you want to extend your house, or have had such an application recently refused, and need some guidance then why not contact Pure Town Planning on 01202 585524 or email info@puretownplanning.co.uk for a FREE 30 minute confidential consultation.
