Appeal win Southampton planning consultants Hampshire

Southampton City Council: Pure Town Planning has won another appeal this time in Southampton. The appeal site was an old pub located in a residential area of the city. The proposal was for the demolition of the pub building and the erection of a scheme of five houses.

The various issues for the appeal centred around whether the loss of the pub was acceptable, whether the design would fit into the character of the area, whether the proposal would cause parking problems within the locality and whether the garden areas would be of sufficient size for the future residents. The Southampton City Council planning committee in particular found fault with the latter two issues refusing the scheme against their planning officer’s recommendation. The Inspector found in favour of the five house proposal on all counts granting planning permission for the scheme.

If you have had planning refused recently why not ask Pure Town Planning for an opinion on what your chances are on appeal – we won’t charge for this so what have you got to lose?
