Pure Town Planning has volunteered Darryl Howells to enter into the ‘Business Come Dancing’ competition, for the Bournemouth Hospital Charity. The purpose of the fund raiser is to secure the final £30,000 to enable the hospital to purchase a mini MRI scanner that will enable patients to be scanned more quickly, saving the NHS time and resources and to free up the larger MRI scanner for higher priority patients. PLEASE GIVE YOUR DONATIONS to this worthwhile cause for something which many of us might need and experience sometime in our lifetime….

There are 12 contestants in all, so Darryl’s initial target is £2,500 but will aim higher if he can…

The judges have given Darryl, the challenge to create and perform a ‘commercial’ dance which he understands to be a typical music video dance…. such as Michael Jackson’s ‘thriller’ or something created by a Flash Mob event… but it will be just him and his dance teacher on stage. The dance will be performed live in front of hundreds of people at the Cumberland Hotel, Bournemouth on Friday 23rd November in an event hosted by BBC Radio Solent’s DJ Steve Harris. It will also be filmed to be viewed online by millions of people around the world…

Darryl has some dancing knowledge having learnt ceroc (a modern form of jive dance) and now learning ballroom, such as the Waltz, Quickstep, Rumba and Cha Cha Cha.. so he might have a chance at winning.

Pure Town Planning has previously supported fund raising for this portable MRI scanner and it would be great if this event takes it over the line…
