Test Valley Borough Council have deferred two meetings to discuss its Revised Local Plan this month. We were expecting the Council to sign off a draft version for consultation later in the month but the planners have decided to hold off until they are clear about the timetable for revocation of the South East Plan. Sounds a bit fishy to me as no other Council’s seem worried about the drawn-out demise of Regional Spatial Strategies and everyone else is pressing on with their own locally-based housing targets. Perhaps a feeble excuse to buy the hard-pressed policy planners a bit more time to draft it all up?

Let’s hope things aren’t held up too long…
