Bournemouth Borough Council: Pure Town Planning are pleased to announce that we have just secured planning permission to demolish an existing bungalow on Warren Edge Road in Southbourne and erect a pair of semi-detached three-bedroom homes designed by Tony Holt Design.

This application followed an applicationĀ for a more contemporary pair of semi-detached dwellings on this site, which was refused by Bournemouth Borough Council. Not deterred by this refusal, we realised that we had to start again in terms of the design and engage in a pre-application enquiry with the Council. The pre-application enquiry set out the concerns of the Council and established how we could overcome the reasons for refusal.

Following the pre-application meeting, we made changes to the plans and submitted the revised application. As part of the application, we prepared a thorough supporting Design and Access Statement, which set out the merits of the proposal in a clear and concise manner showing how the revised application overcame the previous reasons for refusal. The Case Officer agreed with our statement that the revised application had overcome the previous reasons for refusal and recommend the application for approval under delegated powers, avoiding Planning Committee.

Here at Pure Town Planning, we like nothing more than securing our clients planning approvals. If you are working on a residential development, or have a property which may have potential for further residential development which you would like us to assess, why not give us a call on 01202 585524 or email to info@puretownplanning.co.uk.
