Borough of Poole: Pure Town Planning are pleased to have announce that we have recently secured planning permission for the erection of two detached dwellings with associated access and parking in Upper Parkstone, Poole.

The application site comprises an existing bungalow set within a spacious plot on Farcroft Road, Poole. The site had extant approval for the demolition of the bungalow and the erection of a pair of semi-detached dwellings. Following the grant of permission, we were approached by the owner who was keen to improve the value of the development. As such, we worked with local architects Venice Designs to form a revised scheme which proposed two detached dwellings. The proposal maintained appropriate street gaps and responded to the character of the area, whilst preserving neighbouring amenity and highway safety.

In support of the scheme we prepared a comprehensive supporting Design, Access and Planning statement which set out the merits of the proposal in a clear and concise manner, whilst making it clear that the revised proposals were in accordance within adopted planning policies that support the provision of new homes in sustainable locations.

Upon considering the application and supporting documents, the Borough of Poole planning officers agreed with our conclusions and moved to recommend the scheme for approval. During application process we successfully worked with officers to avoid the inclusion of any pre-commencement conditions on the permission. As a result, the applicant can now commence work immediately and avoid losing valuable time (and money…) waiting for conditions to be agreed.
