The scheme involved the complete overhaul of the existing 1950s dwelling into a striking three-storey contemporary home. The remodelled dwelling has been radically altered which now delivers an eye-catching 4 bed home with an open plan layout and 1st and 2nd floor rear balconies. This particular aspect of the proposal was key, as the property avails of picturesque and expansive views of Poole Harbour and Sandbanks peninsula and so securing this additional storey and its associated balcony spaces was imperative for the applicant.
Despite some neighbouring objections regarding the resulting impact to surrounding properties, comprehensive and on-going consultation between Pure Town Planning, the Borough of Poole Planning Officer and the architects Empery + Co, ensured that the Council were fully satisfied with all aspects of the proposal. The respective Officers recognised the clear merits of this meticulously designed scheme and how it delivered an attractive contemporary remodel in this much sought after location overlooking the harbour.
