East Dorset District Council: Darryl Howells of Pure Town Planning is pleased to have secured full planning permission for the phased demolition of an existing house and the erection of a replacement dwelling in the Green Belt at Longham in Dorset. Designed by Dot Architecture, the replacement building is of a Georgian style over 3 floors and in a ‘L’ shaped configuration. The size of the replacement dwelling is approximately 68% larger in Gross Floor Area/ 80% larger in volume than the original dwelling. In negotiations, Darryl persuaded the planning officer that the replacement dwelling would not material harm the openness of the Green Belt and the habitable accommodation within the roof space would not harm nearby residential amenities. Also approved as part of the scheme was a 3 metre high boundary wall and new pool house.

If you want to demolish your house and rebuild, or desire to carry out extensive enlargement of your existing house but policy constraints such as Green Belt suggest you can’t then why not contact Pure Town Planning on 01202 585524 or email info@puretownplanning.co.uk for a FREE 30 minute confidential consultation.
